Phi was the visionary brand behind a project aimed at inspiring networking for designers. Under the umbrella of Phi, the event "Tipsy Folios" was conceptualised as a Design Speed Meet, where designers engaged in quick, meaningful interactions to spark collaborations. The event allowed designers to exhibit their best work, receive feedback, and gain valuable insights. The event's ambience was further enhanced by specially crafted drinks that aligned with the design theme, creating a relaxed and engaging atmosphere for designers to connect in a more informal setting, away from the usual corporate or serious environments. Phi was a concept to create a supportive community for designers, empowering them to explore new boundaries and expand their network.
The logo and name of the project, "Phi," stemmed from the Fibonacci spiral, or golden ratio, which is a fundamental concept in design and widely recognised in the design community. In geometry, a golden spiral is a logarithmic spiral whose growth factor is φ, the golden ratio.
The conversation cards were designed to prevent awkward silences and ensure smooth conversation flow. Participants had 10 minutes per person to go through the questions or chat before moving on to the next person.
